BMS 2010

Broadcast & Multimedia (BMS) is an international scale exhibition that presents high-technology products. in this exhibition, visitors will the opportunity chance to get information on things that relate to the world expanding range of broadcast & multimedia technologics. such an exhibition facilitates cooperation between domestic and foreign industry's opportunities and applications.

Indonesia has started changing its broadcasting systems from analog to digital. The change to digital has become unavoidable due to global demands. That analog equipment shall be replaced with new and enhanced digitaly based systems, which provide far enhanced quality and range of radio & televisionservices received in the home.

Nowadays, television broadcasting operator in cooperation with telecommunication companies are trial testing of digital television broadcasting over terrestrial & sattelite stations as well as mobile TV and the internet. Such trial test is for all parties concerned to learn & understand internet technical and non-technical aspects on broadcasting services. The exhibition and conference to be held through the Broadcast & Multimedia Show 2010 will contribute information and experience learned in indonesia and of other countries in the implementation process of digital broadcasting services. Such information and experience provides valuable reference to be applied to new national digital broadcasting services.

 

OBJECTIVE

The Minister of Communication and Information of Republic of Indonesia has announced the goverment's decision for the broadcast industry to begin the transition from analogue to digitally based services and operations.

Broadcasting institutions in Indonesia consist of 11 National TV Station,70 Local TV Station and 1800 Radio broadcast Station. Furthermore,185 New TV Station licenses and 2020 New Radio broadcast Station, all in process for permission request application in year 2009. The related industry is now to preparing the migration process from analog to digital.

All INTERNATIONAL BROADCAST INDUSTRIES are invited to join the BROADCAST & MULTIMEDIA SHOW 2009 which is a great opportunity to offer systems and their latest technology to facilitate the migration of Indonesian's broadcasting services from analog to digital.
